Lake County is returning to the fold after a brief absence so please feel free to reach out and welcome Steve Earls and his crew into our circle of friends.
We are planning to hold our fall district meeting November 9th at Cisco’s headquarters in Central Florida. This event promises to provide an overview of Cisco’s vision for both networks and the enterprise as a whole.
Some issues that Volusia County members are currently dealing with is the consolidation of all Fire dispatch back to County control. It has been quite a challenge and continues to be a work in progress, with many challenges yet to be overcome.
It is very refreshing that members that have been working with Volusia County Sheriff’s Offices have reached out to their sister cities that are just now making the transition. Deltona being one of them, I have to say with great pride that the cooperation and information sharing has been excellent.
The success of this program will ultimately be claimed by the County but we on the inside know that without the cooperation and continued assistance and information sharing by our IT community, this project would have never gotten off the ground much less been a success.
Volusia County members can take great pride in working together to accomplish a common goal, even if it was mandated without consent at the County level.
Just another example of FLGISA members “getting it done!”
