AND IN OTHER NEWS IN CLAY COUNTY, THEY TAKE COLLABORATION SERIOUSLY
The Clay County IT Group is made up of a culmination of IT members from a broad range of organizations. The group has representatives from the Board of County Commissioners, Supervisor of Elections, Sheriff’s office, Tax Collector, School Board, Property Appraiser’s office, Clerk of Court, Public Library, Utility Authority, Department of Health, City of Green Cove Springs, and the Town of Orange Park, for a total of thirty one members in all. The group has been meeting quarterly for the past two years and the latest project has distinct possibilities. Thanks to the help of grants and a lot of hard work, Clay County has a new, state-of-the-art Emergency Services Center – or as we refer to it – the EOC. It has opened the door for the opportunity of having replicated storage from other Clay County entities residing under one gorgeous roof. We have moved passed the conceptual stage and will soon be meeting with Data Domain to get more into the mechanics. We can hardly wait to get the project off the ground!
