The FLGISA provides enhanced networking and support through its six districts. Each district is led by an elected District Director who coordinates regional meetings and training throughout the year. Directors serve on the FLGISA Board, providing a voice for each district.

Hello FLGISA Southwest District Members!

I hope you were all able to attend our Annual Conference in Naples. It was by all accounts a huge success and we sincerely appreciate your participation and support.

It is also my privilege to inform you that Ken Watson from Sarasota County has accepted my invitation to serve as our district's Deputy Director. We will be working together to ensure that our district level offerings for information sharing events continue to support FLGISA's mission and provide a tremendous amount of value to you, your teams, and your agencies.

Since I represent a midsize agency, I wanted to select someone who can more effectively convey the needs of a larger operation. For those of you who know Ken, this was an obvious choice. For those of you who are unfamiliar with him, his passions lie in process improvement, team building, and of course, collaboration. His energy and enthusiasm toward our organization are impressive to me. Additionally, he is well spoken, educated, and experienced in our field.

I've included a small bio about Ken below my signature. Please join me in both congratulating and thanking Ken for volunteering for this very important appointment.

Thank you all,

Chris Bald, CGCIO
Southwest District Director, FLGISA
